Choosing the right lift recliner is a personal decision. The chair has to fit your body, match how you like to sit, and meet the comfort level your back, hips, or knees need. At Sleighters, every appointment is a fitting — we walk you through the models, help you find the size that works, and show you how each comfort zone compares so you leave confident in your choice.

Why Adams County Families Choose Sleighters
A specialist, not a general retailer. Sleighters carries Golden Technologies power lift recliners exclusively — the brand with the widest range of sizes and comfort configurations available. When a store carries every brand, nobody on the floor knows any of them well. When one store has spent decades selling one line, the difference in guidance is immediate.
Free white-glove delivery and setup. Every recliner purchase includes free delivery, in-home setup, and removal of one existing chair — at no extra charge for customers within 25 miles of New Oxford. For most of Adams County, that means your new chair arrives set up and ready without any hassle on your end.
A showroom that works around you. Our by-appointment model means you get the floor and the conversation entirely to yourself. No waiting, no competing with weekend foot traffic, and no sales pressure. We schedule when it works for you.
A family business with a 79-year track record. Sleighters has been at 5 Lincoln Way West since 1954. Sally and Jerome Smith are the third generation of family ownership. When you buy here, there is a real person behind the sale and a real address to come back to.
Golden Technologies Lift Recliners: What Makes Them Different
Golden Technologies manufactures its recliners with northern maple hardwood frames, double-dowelled stress points, and reinforced mitre blocks — construction details that matter when a chair is used multiple times a day, every day. Their patented positioning technology lets you find angles that take pressure off the joints and spine that standard recliners simply cannot reach.
The lineup spans 1-Zone chairs (straightforward lift and recline) all the way to 5-Zone models with Twilight Technology, which lets the headrest and footrest each move independently so the chair becomes a full positioning system. Optional features include Far Infrared Heat and Massage, Gel Memory Foam seat cushions, and programmable AutoDrive hand controls.
All models come in multiple sizes. A chair that fits a 5 ft. 2 in. person is a different chair than one that fits someone 6 ft. 3 in. at the same price point. That is why the fitting appointment matters.

Do you deliver to all of Adams County?
Yes. We provide free white-glove delivery and setup to customers within 25 miles of our New Oxford showroom, which covers all of Adams County and most of the surrounding area. Delivery includes full in-home setup and removal of one existing chair at no extra charge.

How do I schedule an appointment?
Call or text 717.624.7500, or email sleighters@outlook.com. We work around your availability. Appointments typically take 45 to 60 minutes and are the best way to find the right model, size, and comfort level for your situation.

Can I order without visiting the showroom?
We do fill phone and email orders for customers who already know the model they want. That said, most customers find the appointment invaluable — sizing a lift recliner to the person sitting in it makes a real difference in long-term comfort.

What does "white-glove delivery" include?
We bring the chair into your home, place it exactly where you want it, set it up, and walk you through the controls. We also remove and take away one existing chair so you are not left managing the exchange yourself.
