What Sets Sleighters Apart for Cumberland County Customers
Specialized knowledge you cannot get at a big-box store. General furniture retailers carry lift recliners as one category among many. Sleighters carries Golden Technologies exclusively. That specialization means we know the differences between every model, every size option, every add-on — and we can tell you which one applies to your situation rather than reading off a spec sheet.

Free white-glove delivery to Cumberland County.
Delivery, in-home placement, full setup, and removal of one existing chair are included at no charge for purchases within 25 miles of New Oxford. For customers in Carlisle, Mechanicsburg, Camp Hill, and much of central Cumberland County, that means no delivery fee and no assembly challenge on your end.
No walk-in crowds, no pressure. Our appointment model was a deliberate choice. We transitioned away from traditional walk-in retail in 2022 so we could give every customer the full attention the decision deserves. An uninterrupted hour with someone who knows the product is a different experience from a busy showroom floor.
Three generations and 79 years. Sally and Jerome Smith represent the third generation of family ownership at Sleighters, and they have the kind of local, long-term relationship with their customers that only comes from staying in the same community for decades.

Choosing the Right Lift Recliner for Your Needs
Lift recliners are sized to the person, not the room. Golden Technologies builds chairs to fit a wide range of body types — from petite frames under 5 ft. to larger individuals requiring wider seating and higher weight capacity. Getting the size wrong means the lift mechanism puts strain in the wrong place and the seat cushion wears unevenly.
Beyond size, comfort zone matters. A 1-Zone chair lifts and reclines in a single arc. A 4-Zone or 5-Zone chair lets you adjust the back, footrest, headrest, and lumbar independently — which matters for people with specific positioning needs related to back pain, hip issues, or post-surgical recovery.
Optional features like Far Infrared Heat and Massage, Gel Memory Foam cushions, and programmable position memory are available on select models and worth discussing if they are relevant to your situation.

Is there a return policy on lift recliners?
