Why Franklin County Customers Drive to Sleighters
Product depth that a generalist cannot match. Sleighters has focused entirely on Golden Technologies power lift recliners for years. The lineup has 17 models spanning basic 1-Zone chairs to advanced 5-Zone models with Twilight Technology and Swedish Air Massage. Knowing the full range, and knowing how each model compares, is the kind of expertise that only comes from exclusive focus.
Free delivery, no surprises. Every purchase comes with free white-glove delivery to your home, full setup, and removal of one existing chair — at no charge for customers within 25 miles of New Oxford. For most of Franklin County, the delivery is included. Chambersburg and Waynesboro are close enough that many customers qualify. Call to confirm your address.
A by-appointment showroom that respects your time. There are no walk-in crowds here. You schedule, we prepare, and your appointment is your own. Most visits run 45 to 60 minutes and cover everything you need to make a confident choice.
Family-owned since 1947. Third-generation owners Sally and Jerome Smith take personal responsibility for every sale. The relationship does not end at delivery — local in-home service is part of what Sleighters offers.

Finding the Right Fit for Franklin County Customers
Every Golden Technologies recliner is sized to fit a person, not just a room. A chair that delivers optimal lift assistance for a 5 ft. 3 in. person is built differently than one for someone 6 ft. tall, even at the same price point. Getting that right from the start means the chair works properly on day one and holds up to daily use over years.
For customers with specific needs — limited shoulder mobility, hip or knee replacement recovery, difficulty with standard seating positions, or the need for a higher weight capacity — the model and comfort zone selection matters more, not less. The fitting appointment is where we work through those details.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Sleighters close enough to Franklin County to justify the drive?
New Oxford is approximately 40 minutes from Chambersburg via Route 30. For a purchase of this size and personal importance, most Franklin County customers find that a reasonable trip. Many tell us the appointment is the best part — they leave knowing exactly what they ordered and why.

Do you deliver to Chambersburg and Waynesboro?
Free delivery is included for customers within 25 miles of New Oxford. Chambersburg and Waynesboro are near the outer edge of that radius. Call 717.624.7500 to confirm whether your address qualifies, or to discuss delivery options if it falls slightly beyond.

What happens if there is a problem with the chair after delivery?
Golden Technologies recliners carry a manufacturer warranty, and Sleighters provides local in-home service as part of its post-sale relationship. You are not calling a national 800 number — you are calling a local shop that knows your chair and your situation.

Can I order a specific color or fabric that I do not see online?
Some models offer a range of fabric and color options beyond what is shown on our website. Reach out directly at 717.624.7500 to ask about specific options for the model you are interested in.
