A lift recliner is one of the most personal furniture purchases a person makes. It has to work with your height and weight, deliver the right level of lift assistance, and hold up to daily use. We take the time to find the right match at every appointment — not just the chair that is in stock, but the chair that fits.

Why York County Residents Come to Sleighters
One brand, fully mastered. We carry Golden Technologies exclusively. That means we know every model, every size, every option, and every comfort configuration in the lineup. When the person selling you the chair has spent years fitting customers into one product line, the advice is a different quality than a generalist retailer who carries dozens of brands.
Free delivery throughout York County. White-glove delivery, in-home setup, and removal of your existing chair are included at no charge for customers within 25 miles of New Oxford. York County falls largely within that range, and for locations that extend beyond it, call us — we work with customers across the county.
By appointment, which means your time is respected. The showroom is not walk-in. We schedule appointments so the visit is completely yours. You get a relaxed hour to sit in chairs, ask questions, and make a confident decision without pressure.
A business that has been here since 1947. Third-generation family owners Sally and Jerome Smith have decades of relationship with the Golden Technologies line and with local families throughout the region. There is a real person standing behind every sale.

The Golden Technologies Line
Golden Technologies builds lift recliners with longevity in mind. Northern maple hardwood frames, reinforced joint construction, and patented positioning mechanisms mean the chair holds up to the kind of use a lift recliner actually sees. For someone rising from a seated position multiple times a day, that construction quality is the difference between a chair that lasts a decade and one that starts to fail in two years.
The range runs from straightforward 1-Zone lift recliners to advanced 5-Zone models with Twilight Technology, independent headrest and footrest control, optional heat and massage, and programmable positioning memory. We stock 17 models total.
Sizing is not optional. A person who is 5 ft. tall and a person who is 6 ft. 2 in. tall need different chairs even if they want the same features. The fitting appointment is where that happens.
